The bouclé chair: comfort and form in one piece
5 November 2026

Bouclé is a fabric woven from looped yarn, which gives it its soft, nubby texture. It catches the light, hides small creases and feels warm to the touch, which is why a bouclé chair instantly makes a room feel calmer.
Where a bouclé chair works best
Living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners: anywhere indoors you want a soft, inviting seat. Ivory and cream bouclé brighten darker rooms; paired with walnut-tone wood, it feels warm rather than stark.
Bouclé on solid wood
We pair bouclé with solid wood frames so the chair has structure as well as softness:
- Senda Chair: a sculptural wood frame with a soft bouclé seat.
- Nido Chair: a bold, rounded shape on sculptural wood legs.
- Vento Lounge Chair: deep and low, made for lounging.
- Alma Chair and Arena Chair: refined everyday seats.
Is bouclé practical?
Yes, with a little care: vacuum gently once a week with a soft brush, and blot spills straight away without rubbing. Our care guide covers the details.
