Bouclé, cane, rope or stone? A guide to natural materials
5 November 2026

Natural materials are why a room feels warm rather than staged. Each one has its own character, and knowing it helps you choose the right piece for the right place.
Solid wood
Warm, strong and alive: every piece shows its own grain. Wood is the frame of almost everything we make, from the Raiz Bench to the Marmo Table.
Bouclé
A looped, textured fabric that feels soft and warm and hides small creases. Best indoors. Read our bouclé chair guide.
Woven cane
Light and airy, it lets air and light through and softens heavier wood pieces. See the Aria Bench and Sena Side Table.
Handwoven rope
Relaxed and made for open air: terraces, roofs and chalets. See the Loom Chair.
Natural stone
Heavy, cool and sculptural, stone grounds a room and suits gardens too. See the Velora Bench and Avela Table.
Mixing them
The calmest rooms usually combine two or three: wood with bouclé indoors, wood with rope or stone outside. Our care guide explains how to look after each one.
